Select the 'Register' link on the top navigation bar for any EM journal to begin the process. You will be asked for a unique email address that is not already registered for this journal.

How do I register an account on Editorial Manager?

From the journal's EM login page, enter your username and password and then select the login button for the role you need to access. Alternatively, you may sign in via ORCID iD single sign on.


How do I sign in to Editorial Manager?

Select the ORCID iD logo on the login page of any EM journal to log in with your ORCID credentials. There is a one-time validation to connect your EM and ORCID accounts.


How can I use ORCID for single sign-on to Editorial Manager?

User menus in EM are divided into roles for Author, Reviewer, or Editor. You can select a role with the buttons on the login screen, or switch roles from your main menu screen after you’ve logged in.


What are user roles in Editorial Manager?

To link to the journal's submission site, go to the journal's home page or guide for authors, and select 'Submit Your Paper'. This will take you to the login page.

How do I find and access my journal's submission system?

If a user has two EM accounts for a single journal, they can be merged by our support team, to combine the history in a single account. 


What can I do if I have Editorial Manager profiles registered to different email addresses?

Most browsers allow users to save usernames and passwords locally for ease of login. The browser usually has a way for you to retrieve the saved details.


How can I retrieve my existing password from my browser?

Log into EM and select 'Update My Information' in the top navigation bar. You will need to update your details separately in each journal.

Browser technology is rapidly developing and this means that browsers quickly become out of date as new and improved versions are released frequently.
