Article Transfer Service allows journals to offer the author a chance to transfer their submission to a more suitable journal. The transfer will include any completed reviews and could include reviewer names, if the original reviewers have given permission.

What is the Article Transfer Service (ATS)?

Decisions can be undone or Rescinded for a short time, until some other action moves the submission forward in the workflow. This permission is often given only to the highest editor in a journal.


How does an Editor change a Decision in Editorial Manager?

Editors with appropriate permission can select 'Initiate Discussion' or 'Discussions': if already initiated, to invite other editors to participate in an informal discussion.

How do I use the Editor Discussion Forum feature in Editorial Manager?

EM provides a Duplicate Submission Report comparing the author list, title, and abstract across previous submissions in the journal. A numerical Duplicate Score shows the highest calculated match and displays red when over a configured value.
