How to contact us on Journal Article Publishing

Editors can submit a decision on any of their assigned submissions by selecting Submit Editor's Decision and Comments in the Action links. Submissions waiting for decision can be found under Required Reviews Complete.

How do I make a decision in Editorial Manager?

Authors who agree to transfer their submission to another journal must then log into the new journal to complete the submission process, as the new journal could have different requirements. 


How does the Article Transfer Service work for authors?

Editors with permission can select 'History' for any submission. The status history shows each time the status term changed for the submission, while the correspondence history includes every email sent to anyone about this submission.


How can an Editor view a submission's history?

EM provides a Duplicate Submission Report comparing the author list, title, and abstract across previous submissions in the journal. A numerical Duplicate Score shows the highest calculated match and displays red when over a configured value.


How can Editorial Manager help prevent Duplicate Submissions?

Decisions can be undone or Rescinded for a short time, until some other action moves the submission forward in the workflow. This permission is often given only to the highest editor in a journal.
