What are the requirements for my supplementary material?
Last updated on January 07, 2025Supplementary files offer authors additional possibilities to publish supporting applications, movies, animation sequences, high resolution images, background datasets, sound clips and more.
Requirements for supplementary material differ between journals. You can find the requirements for your supplementary material:
- In your journal's Guide for Authors for journal-specific requirements. You can find the Guide for Authors on your journal homepage. Go to your journal homepage directly or use the Journal Finder.

Make sure that your supplementary material is in compliance with Elsevier's policy on the manipulation of images. You can find the policy at the bottom of the Artwork & Media Instructions page from the Elsevier website.
