Can I place a tax-exempt order online?

To place a tax-exempt order, you will need to first contact us using the email option at the bottom of this screen. Tax exempt orders cannot be processed via a regular online purchase as tax is calculated and applied at checkout.

How

Please contact us via the 'Email' option at the bottom of this page to arrange a tax-exempt purchase. When submitting your email, please provide the information in the following table. After sending us your request, we will contact you within 24 - 48 hours.

Europe (except UK)	Your VAT registration number (including country code) If you already placed your order, a copy of your invoice.
US and Canada	Your tax exemption certificate or state reseller tax certificate If you already placed your order, a copy of your invoice. If you have not placed your order yet, contact Elsevier directly to have a tax-exempt institution account set up and your order placed by another method.
Tax exempt organization	Please contact us to find out which documentation is required.
