What should I do if I receive a Missing Item letter?

Last updated on August 05, 2021

When your paper is accepted in the Editorial system, the source files that were submitted to Editorial Manager are transferred to production. Please note that only the source files are transferred to production and not any of the information included in the submission questions in Editorial Manager.

When we receive the source files in the production system, we check that the source files provided are in the correct format for typesetting and all information required to create the proof of your paper is present (e.g. tables/ figures/ affiliations). If any information required to create the proof is not present in the production system, we will contact you to let you know the information that is missing and ask that you provide this to us as soon as possible.

To ensure that the missing information reaches the correct team, please respond directly to the sender of the missing item letter, providing the missing information in the format requested at your earliest convenience.
