Author Guide to the Publication Process (Post-Acceptance)
Last updated on November 18, 2024If you wish to find out more about aspects of the publication process, please see below for more information that may be of help to you, as well as who to contact should you require further assistance:
When your paper is accepted in the Editorial system, you will receive a formal acceptance email from the Editor/ journal. All source files submitted in the Editorial system are transferred to production.
If you need to delay the publication of your article (set an embargo) due to patent requirements or timing of a press release, please contact the Editor or the Journal as soon as you receive the acceptance letter.
Your paper is received in production. If any additional information/ files are required, you will be contacted directly. You will also receive a link to the forms that you will need to complete.
Rights and Access Forms
- How do I complete my Author Forms? If you have any queries regarding how to complete the forms or difficulty accessing or submitting the forms, please contact us for further help.
If you require further advice regarding copyright, please contact our copyright/ permissions team.
Open Access
Early Citation
We begin creating the proof of your paper. You will receive an estimate for when your proofs are expected to be ready via email.
All corrections to your paper should be made when you receive your proof and before you submit your corrections, as further corrections may not be possible once your paper is finalised.
When the proofs are ready, you will receive instructions about how to access your proof and submit your corrections. Please note that any corrections that do not conform to the journals standard style will not be implemented by the production team. Figures and tables will be placed near or closest to its citation (i.e. at the top or bottom of the page instead of within a paragraph of text).
In case you have any changes to the supplementary file submitted already, please update this change directly in the file and upload the updated copy to the proof central link.
This step is mandatory as the production team does not review and implement any content/corrections relevant to supplementary materials and they publish the received file as is.
