What is the Guest Editor role for Special Issues?
Last updated on April 12, 2022Guest Editors play a vital role in ensuring the quality of special content publications. Contributors whose proposal has been accepted and scheduled for production are appointed as Guest Editors. The decision to approve or reject a proposal is made by the Editor-in-chief, based on the reviews from the editorial board.
A Guest Editor will typically be responsible for these steps for publishing a Special Issue:
- Submitting a proposal.
- Soliciting papers.
- Handling submitted papers in Editorial Manager.
Once all papers have been accepted for the Special Issue, our production team works with Guest Editors to move to the production stage and arrange publication.
