How do I submit a proposal for a Special Issue?
Last updated on September 04, 2024Researchers interested in guest-editing a Special Issue with an Elsevier journal should submit a proposal directly to the Editor-in-Chief of the journal. The proposal should give the Editor-in-Chief an overview of the aims and scope of the Special Issue, which will enable the Editor to judge if the Special Issue will be suitable for the journal.
How
Follow these steps to submit a proposal for a Special Issue:
- Read the Guest Editor information page.
- Locate the title of the journal you wish to propose the Special Issue for:
- Search for the journal using the search box under 'Find by journal title' on the journal's author page
- Use the search function on Elsevier.com and click on a journal title to be directed to the journal homepage.
- Find the Special Issue Proposal recommendations to submit your proposal to your selected journal.
The senior editor will approve or reject it after consulting with the editorial board.
Alternatively, send in your proposals to: [email protected]
