Depending on the journal's editorial policies, if you don't agree with the decision and comments that were made to your submitted paper you can contest the Editor's decision. In such cases, you can contact the Editor or Editorial Office of the journal through Editorial Manager to request a second opportunity to submit your article to the journal.

How?

Follow these steps to contest the Editor's decision:

1. Log in to the journal you submitted your manuscript to. There should a be a link to the site in the decision email.
2. Locate the relevant manuscript under the 'Revisions' or 'Completed' sections of the main menu.
3. Select 'Send E-mail' under the 'Action' column.

   • If the links are collapsed, click ‘Action Links’ to expand the list.
4. Click on ‘Send email’ and the customize Letter screen will open immediately.
5. Type your message into the body of the email.

   • The letter template will include identifying information, keep those details unchanged to help the Editorial Team find the relevant submission.
6. Select 'Preview and Send'. Here you will have c change to go back for further edits if needed.
7. Select 'Send E-mail'.

After completing these steps:

• The Editorial Team will consider your request and respond to you via email to let you know how to proceed.
• The email you have sent is visible in the correspondence history of the submission.
• If the Editorial Team does not respond within a few days, please contact us via the channels below.
