Related Topics cover a similar research interest to the Topic you are looking at based on text matching. They can help you identify related areas of research that aren’t necessarily citing your area of interest. These related Topics can be used to expand your reading list and identify new researchers to follow or with which to collaborate.
Related Topics are computed using an in-house developed deep learning model creating embeddings based on the titles and abstracts of all Scopus publications. These are long vectors that express the semantics of a publication. The vectors of a Topic are created by aggregating the vectors of the publications that make up the Topic. Top 50 related Topics are displayed for each Topic, ranked in order of similarity.
You can also view the connection between the related Topics and their underlying Topic Clusters using the Bubble Chart.
