How do I find which ligands have been tested as agonists?

In this example, let’s find which ligands have been tested as agonists of the 5-HT6 receptors. 

  1. Click Query builder
  2. Retrieve the Affinity on target form
    • In the Find search fields and forms field, type target – the list is filtered to include fields and forms that include the word target.
    • Drag and drop the Affinity on target form onto the Query builder

  3. Click the Lookup tool for Target NameImage
  4. Search for 5-ht6 and press the Enter key
    • Please Note: The search in the taxonomy is performed using a substring within the full name and the associated synonyms of the target. The searched term is highlighted in orange when found in synonyms and corresponding main terms are displayed as a flat list at the bottom of the page. In the Selected search items section the term(s) can be deleted by clicking the blue ’X’. Numbers on the right hand side of the windows are counting bioactivities (data points) on the corresponding target or family of target.

    • Click Transfer

  5. Scroll down and click the Lookup tool for Substance Action on TargetImage
    • Click agonist
    • Click Transfer

  6. Click Search on the top of the screen and select Substances.Image

    The Substances Result Page is displayed. Target and Bioactivity retrieves substances tested as agonist on the above-mentioned targets.

    Note: Substances are recognized as agonist when it was clearly stated by authors in the Publications.
