Where can I find a complete list of the journals in Embase?
Last updated on July 12, 2025
To see all indexed journals in Embase, click 'Journals' in the top bar on any page. The journals are sorted alphabetically. For more information on the journal (e.g. the publisher, the number of issues per year), click 'View volumes and issues'.
For all currently active journals in Embase, view our complete list(Opens in a new tab or window). This list is updated bi-annually and the Excel file title will reflect the date the update was completed. All journals in this list are available on Embase, no matter how they are indexed. To find a journal, press CTRL + F and enter any information available in the table (e.g. Journal title, ISSN, Abbreviated title)
We also include Articles In Press for some of the journals, these are documents that have been accepted for publication but have not yet been assigned to a journal issue. To find out for which ones Articles in Press are included see the column ‘Articles in Press’ in the above list. You can also suggest a journal title for inclusion in our database.
