The number of citations from clinical guidance to the university’s Scholarly Output. THE uses this research metric to calculate the Clinical citations indicator that is normalized and measures the proportion of a university’s research papers that are cited in clinical guidance.
The clinical citations come from the PlumX data.
Note: The possible drop in the clinical citations count can be attributed to two main factors. Firstly, the discontinuation of EBSCO metrics in PlumXopens in new tab/window has had an impact on the availability of certain data. Secondly, there has been a reduction in the number of Clinical Guidelines indexed in PubMed. These two factors combined have resulted in lower reported numbers for clinical citations. We are actively exploring alternative sources to provide the most accurate and comprehensive citation data.
This metric is used in the SDG 5 ranking.
