How do I view my results?
Last updated on September 30, 2021
Reaxys results views are context dependent. A substance results view will provide tools, filters and data views that are suited for handling substance data, while document and reaction results view will provide different filters and data views. The Reaxys results view allows seamless switching between the contexts, which makes it possible to always get all reactions and substances for an entire document result set and vice versa.
How
Click the below topics to find steps and examples or click the button to show all topics and search for keywords with Ctrl+F:
- Run a Quick search
- Queries that are initiated through Quick Search are interpreted by Reaxys and may result in several different search options. Those options are then provided to you in a results preview page allowing you to select the search which best match your desired search aims. See an example
In a search for “wittig”, Reaxys will interpret the input in 3 different ways:
- An author search for the name “wittig”.
- A reaction search for the reaction type “wittig” reaction.
- A document search for all keywords about “wittig”.
- Before choosing a result set, you can preview the top 3 results of each set by clicking ‘Preview Results’.
- Reaxys will present the top 3 answers for the selected search option for quickly checking the answers. In many cases the desired answer may already be presented in that preview, thus saving you some time.
- Click 'View Results' to proceed to the full result set.
- To narrow your results, select options from the Filters and Analysis panel and click 'Limit to' or 'Exclude'.
- Run a Query builder search
- The Results page will display results for your search (Preview is not available with the Query builder searches)
- To narrow your results, select options from the Filters and Analysis panel and click 'Limit to' or 'Exclude'.
Click on the type of result you searched for to find out more about the different options available in the Results list:
