How do I ensure that emails aren't blocked by spam filters?
Last updated on October 15, 2025
Many email programs have spam filters. These filters automatically scan incoming emails to stop unwanted emails before they reach your inbox.
How
Add Elsevier's email domain to your safe senders list (i.e. @ecommerce.elsevier.com, @mendeley.com, [email protected], editorialmanager.com, @notification.elsevier.com, @3d4medical.com, or other addresses ending on @elsevier.com).
Specific Instructions for Editorial Manager (EM):
Whitelist Elsevier Domains:
Check with IT support to see if your institution blocks emails from @editorialmanager.com or other Elsevier domains. Ask if they can whitelist the EM IP range: 3.129.226.121 to 3.140.6.162.
Automated Response Emails:
If the recipient has an automated reply set up, you may get a notification from [email protected], which could go to Spam/Junk.
Add to Safe Senders:
To ensure you don't miss it, add [email protected] to your Safe Senders list.
