Announcement: Embase Infrastructural Update
Last updated on March 14, 2018
On June 4, 2018, Embase will make an important infrastructural upgrade by changing the configuration of the Content Delivery Network (CDN) service that securely delivers data, applications, and APIs to our users with low latency and high transfer speeds.
In order to make this working, we need all our clients that connect to the embase.com through EZproxies to update their EzProxies to the version 6.1.10 or newer that does support Server Name Indication (SNI).
What does this mean for you?
For most customers, this change will not affect the use of Embase in any way. For any customers using EZproxy, you need to update your EZproxy to the version 6.1.10 or newer that does support Server Name Indication (SNI).
What are the required actions?
If your organization uses EZproxy to connect to the embase.com please check the version of your proxy server and if necessary upgrade it to the version 6.1.10 or newer that does support Server Name Indication (SNI).
If you might have an issue with updating your EZproxy version by June 4, 2018 please send us an email.
We have made available a testing environment that could be accessed by any interested party in a time window that we would have to agree upon. Please let us know what time suits you and we will arrange testing for your organization.
