Accessibility Features
Below is a summary of key accessibility features supported on our platform.
We are committed to making our website accessible and usable for all individuals, including people with disabilities. Our website has been evaluated against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level A and AA, and includes the following accessibility features:
- Text Alternatives: Most images and non-text content include appropriate text alternatives to ensure information is accessible to users relying on assistive technologies. Some areas are still being improved to fully support non-text content.
- Structure and Navigation: Pages are organized with meaningful headings and labels, clear navigation, and consistent identification of components across the site. Multiple ways to access content are provided, and page titles are descriptive.
- Keyboard Accessibility: Most interactive elements are accessible via keyboard navigation. We are working to improve full keyboard access and focus order in some areas.
- Color and Contrast: The site uses sufficient color contrast for text and interface elements, and does not rely solely on color to convey information.
- Resizable Text and Layout: Users can resize text and adjust spacing; however, certain content may not fully support text resizing or reflow at all screen sizes. Enhancements are underway to address these issues.
- Audio and Video: While our site currently does not feature audio or video content, we are prepared to provide captions, transcripts, and audio descriptions as needed.
- Error Identification and Prevention: The site provides clear identification and suggestion of errors, as well as appropriate labels and instructions. Some forms may still require improved labeling.
- Language and Readability: The primary language of each page is identified, and we are working to improve the identification of language changes within content.
- Other Features: The website supports bypass blocks, visible focus indicators, appropriate use of headings, and status messages to ensure a positive user experience.
- Accessibility Metadata for eBooks: The product information pages display accessibility metadata to allow consumers of eBooks to discover the accessibility features for both ePUB and PDFs.
While we strive to conform to all applicable WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA requirements, some areas of the website may not fully meet the criteria. We are actively working on improvements to address the following partially supported areas:
- Certain non-text content may lack complete alternative text.
- Some relationships and structure within content may need further refinement for assistive technologies.
- Full support for keyboard navigation, focus order, and link purpose is being enhanced.
- Improvements are underway for better support of text resizing, reflow, and language of parts.
- Additional work is being done to ensure all labels, names, and instructions are accessible to screen readers and assistive technologies.
We welcome feedback from users to help us improve accessibility. If you experience any barriers or have suggestions, please contact us.
