Defining researchers and groups through intuitive workflows ensures all of their publications are accurately linked to their profiles, which is a necessary step before conducting any analysis in SciVal.

  1. Define a new Researcher
    • Select Researcher in the ‘Define entity’ link on the top panel, or select Researcher in the ‘Define entity’ link at the bottom of the entity panel on the left
    • Follow the workflow to identify and add the
      researcher to SciVal
  2. Import Researchers
    • In the ‘Define entity’ link click ̒Import Researchers’
    • Use the XLS, CSV or JSON templates, a text file, or paste a list of Scopus author IDs or ORCIDs (up to 1,000)
    • Refine profiles where required
    • Add profiles to a new Group or existing hierarchy
  3. Define new Group of Researchers
    • Drag and drop any of your self-defined Researchers into one or more Groups
    • Or you can select a number of authors and drag and drop them in to the Entity panel, which converts them to Researchers
  4. Select from tables
