How do I edit my email alerts?

You must be logged into Reaxys to edit an alert.

Several parameters of an alert can be edited without creating a new one, e.g. changing the alerting frequency. However, if the alert query itself needs to be changed then a new alert needs to be created through the regular search process. This ensures that the query is providing the expected results.

Follow these steps to edit an alert:

1. Go to the alert page by clicking the bell icon on the top-right of the Reaxys page.
2. Select the alert and click on ‘Edit’.
3. Click on the pencil icon in Query, this will show the message:
   ‘In the Query Builder click Search and then create a new alert with the modified query. Please note: this dialog will be closed if you continue.’
4. Modify the search in the Query Builder and perform the search.
5. Create a new alert.
