A guide to ordering on the Elsevier Ordering Platform (EOP)

You can order single title ebooks that appear on ScienceDirect. We are looking at extending the catalogue but currently no book series volumes, handbook series volumes or ebook collections can be ordered via EOP.

The EOP is an invitation only platform. This means that only customers that have been personally invited to join the platform can purchase here.

Please note: distributed links are strictly bound to a (personal or corporate) account and cannot be shared with peers.

If you are eligible to purchase from the EOP, you can place an order online and pay via an invoice. Currently we do not allow credit card purchases.

If you are eligible for tax exemption, please mention this during the setup of your account so that tax exemption is reflected in pricing. If this does not happen, tax can be refunded by following this procedure.

On invitation to the platform, you will be guided through the steps to set up your account. Following this, you will be able to place your order. The steps below give an overview of the set up and ordering process and the communication you will receive from Elsevier and ScienceDirect throughout:

1. Invitation email to the platform.
2. ID+ confirmation email.
3. Welcome message on the platform.
4. Order confirmation message on platform and via email.
5. 'Agreement email' and mail.
6. Invoice email and mail.
