Why am I being told third-party cookies are blocked when I try to export a citation to Mendeley on ScienceDirect?

ScienceDirect is currently configured to use a remote script to launch and sign into the Mendeley Web Importer within the 'Export'>'Save to Mendeley' flow. Recent updates to Google Chrome have limited the execution of remote scripts within the browser, which has broken the flow.
As an alternative, please use the Mendeley Web Importer browser extension to import citations from ScienceDirect.
You can install Mendeley Web Importer from here.
After Mendeley Web Importer is installed to your browser, you can import a citation to Mendeley by clicking the red Mendeley Web Importer icon in the browser toolbar.
