How do I use the Web Importer?
Last updated on December 05, 2025
You'll need to have installed the Web Importer. If you haven't already, click here and follow the instructions, including the pop-up window enabled test.
How
- Go to Google Scholar. Here you have two alternatives:
- Look for a specific term. This will provide you with a list of related papers/articles. You then can go to bookmarks and select 'Import to Mendeley'. A pop-up window with the list of articles will be displayed, where you can select the ones you want to add, by clicking on 'Import'.
- Click on one article and to add it to your library, just go to bookmarks and select 'Import to Mendeley'. You can click on 'View in your Mendeley Library' to open your library page.
You can find more information on using the web importer on different browsers here.
