How soon are new editions of books available on Elsevier eBooks+ after they've been published?

New editions are normally available on Elsevier eBooks+ on the same day they go on sale in bookstores and online retailers. Where a delay occurs, a title may publish up to 12 weeks after the publication date.

When will a new edition appear online?

We aim to release every new edition on Elsevier eBooks+ on its on-sale date. Occasionally, an issue found during digital conversion delays the online release.

Why is there sometimes a delay?

Before a book can go live on Elsevier eBooks+, it goes through digital conversion and quality checks so that features such as search, resizing, and accessibility work correctly. If a problem is found at this stage, the online release is held until it is fixed.

What should I do if a title I have bought is not available yet?

1. Check the publication date of the specific edition you purchased — a new edition may not yet be live even if the previous one is.
2. Sign out and back in to Elsevier eBooks+ to refresh your library.
3. If the publication date has passed by more than 12 weeks, contact Customer Support with the title, edition, and ISBN.
