ClinicalKey Mobile App Accessibility Statement
Elsevier consistently and proactively endeavors to make our products fully accessible to all users, regardless of physical abilities. You can read more about our company-wide approach to accessibility in Elsevier's Accessibility Policy.

The ClinicalKey mobile app (iOS and Android) provides clinicians with rapid access to evidence-based, peer-reviewed clinical information at the point of care, covering more than 30 medical and surgical specialties. The app includes features designed to support usability and accessibility for a wide range of users, including healthcare professionals who rely on assistive technologies.
- Many screens include descriptive titles and consistent navigation elements across the home, search, browse, and content reading workflows
- Intuitive search with auto-suggest and auto-completion supports users with motor or cognitive impairments by reducing typing effort
- Content is organized by clinically focused topic synopses with clear section headings to support orientation and navigation
- Much of the functionality is accessible via assistive technology gestures and external keyboard navigation
- Many interactive elements — including search, filters by content type or specialty, favorites, and content controls — include visible focus indicators and accessibility labels
- Programmatic labels and semantic structure are implemented across many components to support screen readers
- Links, buttons, and controls generally provide a clear and descriptive purpose
- Text respects user-defined system font size settings (Dynamic Type on iOS and Font Size settings on Android) in many areas
- Landscape view is available for tables and images, supporting users who benefit from larger content display
- The application is designed to be compatible with commonly used mobile assistive technologies, including VoiceOver (iOS) and TalkBack (Android)
- The application supports device-level accessibility settings such as reduced motion, increased contrast, and bold text in many areas
- Persistent login reduces repeated authentication, benefiting users for whom repeated sign-in is burdensome
The ClinicalKey mobile app includes mobile-optimized medical calculators and other interactive content. We are actively working to improve the accessibility of these interactive components. Some calculators and interactive tools may have accessibility limitations when used with assistive technologies. Please contact us at [email protected] if you encounter difficulty with any interactive component.
