How do I search in Clinical Pharmacology?

Clinical Pharmacology is centered around the Search field accessible from every page, making it easy to complete a search on the subjects you are interested in. You can also browse through content in the Lists and Resources sections.
How
You can search the entire site or use the 'Find by' drop-down menu to open more specific Search forms relevant to your topic of interest. Select from the options below to find out more on each method.
Follow these steps to search the entire site:
- Go to Clinical Pharmacology
- Enter your search term in the Search field. For best results, use four or more letters to find results within the following:
- Drug product names
- Terms used for indications
- Contraindication/precautions
- Adverse reactions
- Manufacturers
- Drug Class Overviews
The Find by feature will open a Search form specific to your subject of interest. Follow these steps to use the Find by search feature:
- Go to Clinical Pharmacology
- Select the subject of interest from the ‘Find by’ drop-down list.
- NDC: Use the ‘Find by NDC’ Search feature to look up specific drug products using the NDC number.
- Indication: Use the ‘Find by Indication’ Search feature to find both Adult and Pediatric drug monographs that are used in various conditions
- Classification: Use the ‘Find Classifications by Product’ Search feature to find all therapeutic classifications (and their associated drug products) on the basis of a drug product. search.
- Adverse Reaction: Use the ‘Find by Adverse Reaction’ Search feature to find both Adult and Pediatric drug monographs that have been associated with a particular adverse reaction.
- Contraindication/Precaution: Use the ‘Find by Contraindication/Precaution’ Search feature to find both Adult and Pediatric drug monographs that include certain contraindications/precautions.
- Classification By Product: Use the 'Find Classifications by Product' Search feature to find all therapeutic classifications (and their associated drug products) on the basis of a drug product search.
- Enter a search term (e.g. 'Heart Failure') in the search box on the left hand side.
- Your relevant search results by subject will be displayed.
Links to Lists and Resources can be found on the home page below the Search field. On all other pages, click 'Lists' or 'Resources' at the top of the page. The available types of content within those areas will display in the bar below that link. From there, select the type of content you wish to browse.
