What is the best way for me to revise my research to SSRN?

Last updated on December 22, 2021

In the case of a revision, once you have edited your submission you will be prompted to "Submit your Revision" within the status window. If you know the paper has already been submitted, you should revise the existing submission rather than creating a new submission.

How does SSRN handle multiple versions of a paper? What is a Version Group?
Often, when an author submits a revision of a paper that already exists on SSRN, they will replace the older version of the paper. But sometimes there are reasons to have multiple versions of a paper. For example, if the paper is included in multiple Research Paper Series, or if it is the same paper translated into another language, or if it differs by one or more authors, or if the content has been updated and the history of previous versions is desired. If an author posts two or more papers that are substantially the same, SSRN will combine the 2 or more versions so that they appear together on the author page. SSRN calls this a "Version Group". For instructions on revising a submission, see How do I revise a submission?

My paper versions have slightly different titles. How can I get the papers version grouped?
Reach out to SSRN Support and we will assist you in grouping the versions.
