The Research Productivity Score (THE) gives a sense of the institution’s ability to get papers published in quality peer-reviewed journals.
The score is generated by dividing the subject-weighted Scholarly Output (THE) by the sum of the total subject-weighted number of FTE research staff and FTE academic staff. The result is normalised.
The indicator is weighted at 5.5% of the overall THE World University Rankings Score 2025.
