The Research Excellence Score (THE) measures the institution’s contribution to the best research in each subject and overall. Excellence is measured considering the total number of publications by an institution that are among the top 10% of publications worldwide by FWCI 5Y. The resulting number is adjusted by year, subject, and the total number of academic and research staff.
The indicator is weighted at 5.0% of THE World University Rankings Score.
