Last updated on November 15, 2024

Also available in

The number of publications related to the SDG based on a document search of the Scopus dataset supplemented with documents identified using machine learning techniques. THE uses a normalized value of this metric but it is not scaled by the size of the institution – rather it looks at the overall impact.

For a publication to be included in Scholarly Output for THE Impact Rankings 2023, the following conditions must be met:

  • Document type: Articles, Reviews, Conference Proceedings, Books or Book Chapters
  • Publication year: 2017 – 2021
  • Its source is not discontinued in Scopus

This metric is used in all 17 SDG Rankings.
