Last updated on July 28, 2025

Perform a Chemistry Search:

  1. Click the Chemistry Search button.
  2. Click the structure box to launch the Chemistry Structure Editor.
  3. Draw a new structure or import a structure from a molecular file by clicking the Open icon in the top left corner.
  4. Click Done in the top right corner to transfer the structure to the Chemistry Search Form.
  5. Select either Exact or Substructure from the drop-down menu.
  6. Enter any additional search terms (optional). The Source options will display.
  7. Check the sources that you want to search. The sources are only pertinent to your additional search terms (optional).
  8. Click the Back button to return to the query (including additional search terms) or click on a structure in the results to open the chemistry search form and then edit the structure.
  9. The results page shows drugs with the chemical structure that was searched, along with their molecular weight. Click on the drug name of interest to go to the Overview page for that drug.
