How do I add my institutional/SSO credentials to my Elsevier account?

Last updated on December 20, 2024

If you have previously registered with Elsevier and you now wish to use your institutional or corporate network credentials to access those same products, you can add your new credentials to your existing Elsevier account.

  1. Visit one of the Elsevier products and sign in with your institutional or network credentials. You can find this option in the upper right corner in most products. Some examples:
    • In Scopus and ScienceDirect: select 'Sign in'.
    • In ClinicalKey: select 'Register'.
  2. When you are returned from your institution, enter your email address and select 'Continue':
  3. Enter your Elsevier password and select 'Continue and connect':
  4. Your new institutional or network credentials have been added to your Elsevier user account.

You can now sign in to multiple Elsevier products with your institutional or network credentials, or with your email address and password, and you will have access to your personalized features and content.
