Mendeley API Changes

In line with recent changes in Mendeley (find out more here), the following changes will be made to the Mendeley API. We will update this page if further changes occur.

The following properties are being removed from profile:

  • title
  • middle_initials
  • personal_website
  • research_interests
  • research_interests_list
  • location
  • education
  • employment
  • editorships
  • orcid_id
  • biography
  • institution
  • institution_details

The following properties will always hold empty string value:

  • link
  • folder
  • visibility

The privacy_restricted_view property will be always true.

The Mendeley profile has had many properties removed.
It’s recommended to migrate to the new endpoints (soon to become available):

  • GET, PATCH /profiles/v2/me
  • GET /profiles/v2/{id}
  • GET /profiles/v2
