What are Figures Lists in Image Finder?

Besides images from books and journalsopens in new tab/window and curated collectionsopens in new tab/window, Image Finder also has a Figures Listsopens in new tab/window feature.

Figures lists enable authors and others to contribute figures to a book project. A figure is an image and the metadata that give the image:

• A caption
• A number
• A credit line
• Other properties depending on the source of the image

There are three roles involved in the life cycle of a figures list:

• Owners (creators) and Co-owners
• Content Manager
• Contributor

Owners (creators) and Co-owners:

• Define the annotation of figuresopens in new tab/window
• Add/remove co-ownersopens in new tab/window
• Add/remove content managersopens in new tab/window
• Invite/remove contributorsopens in new tab/window
• Add/remove chaptersopens in new tab/window

• Download high-resolution imagesopens in new tab/window

Content Managers:
