How are Recommended opportunities identified?
Last updated on September 21, 2023
'Recommended opportunities' are another way to surface relevant opportunities—even without first setting up a saved search or alert.
'Recommended opportunities', specific to a researcher and at a maximum of twenty at a time, are identified using the following data:
- Funding opportunities, using metadata in the opportunity description and title as well as the All Sciences Journal Classification, or ASJC, subject classification.
- Publications, using metadata surfaced in a publication’s title and abstract fields as well as the All Sciences Journal Classification, or ASJC, subject classification.
- From funding opportunities data, we use the funder’s location
- From publications data, we use the author’s affiliations
- From opportunities data, we use the eligibility tags for funding type
- From publications data, we use citation counts, publications span and h-Index
