How do I delete an unpublished announcement?

  1. Select 'Manage Announcements' from the System menu selections. The Announcements screen displays.
  2. Locate the announcement to be deleted.
  3. Locate the corresponding numeric entry for the announcement in the Active column.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • If the number in the Active column is Zero (0), then skip to step 14.
    • If the number in the Active column is one or more, then go to step 5.

Note:  The Active column entry indicates the number of learners assigned the announcement. You must un-assign the learners before you can delete the announcement.

  1. Click on the title link of the announcement in the Announcement column. The Create/Edit Announcement screen displays. 
  2. Locate the Assignment section of the Create/Edit Announcement screen.
  3. Click the arrow key to move the entries from the Selected field to the Available field.
  4. All the learners are removed from the Selected field.
  5. Click on each of the remaining tabs and repeat the steps above until all assignments have been removed.
  6. Click 'Update' located below the text editor. 
  7. The confirmation messages displays at the top of the Create/Edit Announcement screen.
  8. Click 'Return to Announcements List' located in the upper and lower right-hand corners of the Create/Edit Announcement screen. The Announcements screen displays. 
  9. Locate the announcement to be deleted.
  10. Click on the 'Delete' link that corresponds to the announcement to be deleted. 
  11. Click 'OK' on the confirmation screen. 
  12. The Announcements screen refreshes. The deleted announcement is no longer displayed.
