How do I assign a module?

Last updated on September 08, 2021

The module assignment functionality allows you to assign a module to one or more assignment entities simultaneously.  For example, you may assign a module to a single facility, two departments, one group and 8 learners.

Please Note: Licensed training items are eLearning Lessons, Skills, Policies, Linked Content, Discussions, or Knowledge Manager Checklist.

How

Follow these steps to assign a module:

  1. Select 'Assign Training'  from the eLearning menu selections. The Module to Assign screen displays.
  2. Select the name of the module to be assigned from either the Modules your Department Created or the Modules available to All Facilities menu selections.
    • To edit the properties of the selected module and click the corresponding 'Edit' link.
  3. Enable the 'Send notification email to learners that receive assignment' option  to notify learners of the module assignment.
  4. Select entities/learners to receive the assignment:
  5. The Module to Assign screen refreshes displaying the chosen assignment entity or learners.
  6. Repeat the above steps until all entries/learners have been selected.
  7. Click 'Assign Now' to have the selected module appear immediately in the learner’s lesson plan.
    • To hold off on the module assignment until the learner has less than 3 incomplete lessons, click 'Assign Later'. Choosing this option may have as result that the assignment will never be visible to the learner.
  8. The Module to Assign screen refreshes displaying a confirmation message.
