What is a pre-validated request?

These are requests where we have been able to match the email address of the corresponding author to their affiliated institution. Highlighting this match provides institutions with added reassurance that authors are eligible for the agreement.

We label these requests with a “pre-validated” tag (as seen in the image below), as an aid to help you assess author eligibility with more confidence; there is no change to how you approve or reject the request.

When viewing a list of pending requests, a new checkbox filter will help narrow down those that are pre-validated:
