In Engineering Village, there are many methods for selecting and downloading information from documents and facets for your future research. The various types of downloads have different limits.
Click the following sections to learn how to access various document download features.
Use the Selected recordsopens in new tab/window feature to select individualopens in new tab/window or multipleopens in new tab/window documents in the result set. You can select up to the first 5,000 documents at a time (if available).
Note: If you select the first 5,000 records for download, your download location and download formatopens in new tab/window will be limited. Additional options are available for downloading 500 or fewer records.
You may download documents by clicking the download icon to access the ‘one-click’ downloadopens in new tab/window feature or the down arrow located to the right of the download icon from any of the following three different sources within Engineering Village:
- Selected recordsopens in new tab/window results list
- Foldersopens in new tab/window results list
You may save documentsopens in new tab/window from the Search results or Selected records pages to a new or existing folder. You can create up to 10 folders, each containing up to 100 documents.
You may set your document download preferencesopens in new tab/window from the ‘Download’ tab of the ‘My preferences’ page to maintain your settings for future search sessions.
You may download the categories of information displayed in the facets from three different places in the ‘Refine results’ pane:
- Individualopens in new tab/window (current view) and ‘View more’opens in new tab/window links from each facet
- Use these features to download a maximum of 160 items (if available) in .csv (comma-separated values) format for the individual facet
- ‘Download all’opens in new tab/window link
- Use this feature to download all items from all the facets at one time
- A maximum of 160 items (as available) per facet will be downloaded in .csv format
