Why are my notes not in order?

Notes transferred from Inkling could not keep their original order, so they do not follow the structure of your book. All of your notes are still there, and they are searchable.

Why did the order change?

Inkling and Elsevier eBooks+ store notes in different ways. During the transfer we were not able to preserve the original sequence and structure, so notes may not appear in the same order as the chapters or pages they relate to.

How do I find a specific note?

1. Open the Notes link next to the title in the web version of Elsevier eBooks+.
2. Use keyword search to find a note by a word or phrase it contains.
3. Notes are grouped by book title, so you can narrow down to one eBook first.

Can the original order be restored?

No. The original Inkling structure cannot be recreated on Elsevier eBooks+. Your notes remain fully available and searchable, but they are stored separately from the book's page structure.

Tip: notes you create in eBooks+ using Notes and Highlights are anchored to the text, so they always appear in book order.
