How is Mendeley used in Scopus?

Last updated on August 15, 2024

Mendeley is a free reference manager and academic social network that can help you organize your research, collaborate with others online, and discover the latest research. You can create a Mendeley account and learn more at the Mendeley website.

Scopus offers direct export of documents, results lists, and references to Mendeley via the Mendeley web importer. The next time you sync Mendeley Desktop, the exported documents appear in the "Recently Added" section.

Exports to Mendeley include all available information:

  • citation fields
  • abstracts
  • affiliations
  • references
  • keywords
  • funding and conference information
  • document IDs
  • language, editor, and publisher fields

You can also select Mendeley as your preferred reference management tool for even faster exporting. To learn more, see Exporting results from Scopus.
