Why is my Scopus paper not visible in the Topic window in Scopus or SciVal?

Even if your Scopus paper contributes to a SciVal Topic, it still may not be visible in the Topic window in Scopus or SciVal. This is because the date window used to display the Topics in Scopus and SciVal may not cover the year your paper was published.
For example, a document published in 2005 belongs to a Topic called “North Atlantic Oscillation; teleconnection; storm track.” At the time of writing, the default date window used in Scopus and SciVal to analyze Topics is 2014 – 2018, so although the document belongs to the Topic, the contribution (citation counts, view counts, authors etc.), is outside the time window and will not be visible.
