Why can the collaboration values in the Overview and Collaboration modules be different?

The Collaboration tab in the Overview module retrieves the information differently from the Current Collaborators tab in the Collaboration module.
In Overview: This module looks at the documents itself and determines whether it is a geographical collaboration based on the countries that are mentioned with the author affiliations (i.e. the country codes in the metadata of the article). The collaborating institution doesn’t need to have a profile in SciVal to be considered.
In Collaboration: The current and potential collaborator tabs adopt an institutional perspective (versus document perspective in Overview) and only consider documents where the collaborating institution has a profile in SciVal.
Discrepancies are thus usually caused by articles which were published in collaboration with institutions that don’t have a SciVal profile.
