The number of international locations (countries) represented by the Partners (QS), with at least one Partner. It's used to calculate the QS International Research Network (IRN) Index.
QS considers some countries as disputed territories and yields a special code for those. In SciVal QS rankings pages these are named as Other territory 1, Other territory 2 and Other territory 3.
Country or region are assigned to each Partner by QS and displayed in SciVal using the ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 ↗ standard. Other territories are marked with OTH (Others) abbreviation code.
Scholarly Output by locations is not displayed as it is not directly related to the indicator.
