Why am I getting a CAPTCHA challenge?

If you encounter a message similar to the one below, the IP address you are using to access ScienceDirect has been challenged. This is most likely due to our monitoring tools noticing unauthorized activity from that IP address. After you solve the CAPTCHA challenge you will be able to access content as normal.
Note to developers:
