The Elsevier PDF reader is part of an ongoing initiative to create an enhanced PDF reading experience for journal and book content. In addition to offering the same basic functionality as any browser-native PDF viewer, it provides a set of enhancements including inline author and reference links with abstract preview, citing articles, and recommended articles.

Search

Select Search (or use Ctrl+F/Cmd+F) to expand the search field and enter your term(s) or keywords.

  • Content containing matching terms is highlighted.
  • Use ∨ / ∧ (next/previous) to move to each instance of the term(s).

Save PDF

Save the document to your local drive.

Screenshot Print button

Print

Send the document to your local or network printer for hardcopy reproduction.

Notes:

  • The Elsevier PDF reader does not support the browser menu print functionality. To print the document, select the Print icon or use the keyboard controls Ctrl+P.
  • When using Apple Safari, unselect the ‘Print headers and footers’ option to avoid clipping of content.

Magnify (+) or shrink (-) the appearance of the document in the PDF reader.

Fit-to-Width

Change the document display to expand across the width of the browser window.

Select for clockwise rotation of the document in the PDF reader.
