How do I set up an RSS feed?

When you are subscribed to an RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feed you get updates when new content is published in a journal or book series/handbook.

RSS feeds are viewed with an RSS reader. RSS readers are programs designed to gather information from different sources and display them to you in a single interface. You can download popular RSS readers which work with ScienceDirect here:

Follow these steps to set up an RSS feed for new publications from a journal or book series/handbook:

1. Search for the publication you want to receive updates for, and open its home page.
2. Select 'Articles & Issues' at the top of the home page, and choose 'RSS'.

   • This step may vary depending on your device or screen width. On smaller screens, select the menu icon instead, then scroll down to RSS.
3. Select the URL provided to subscribe to the feed in your RSS reader.

   • When opening the provided URL in a browser, this may result in unexpected behavior depending on the browser used.

Your RSS reader manages all your feeds. To view, edit or delete your feed(s), open your reader and make your changes there.
