With the two web-based bibliography and database management tools RefWorks and Mendeley you can:
- Store your own collection of document references.
- Create bibliographies in a wide variety of styles.
Other citation management programs can be used, such as Reference manager, ProCite, or EndNote.

ScienceDirect offers direct export of citations and article lists to RefWorks. When you select RefWorks, the Export Citations to RefWorks page displays. Here you can sign in to RefWorks and proceed with the export.
ScienceDirect offers direct export of citations and article lists to Mendeley via the Mendeley web importer. When you sign in to Mendeley Desktop and sync your documents, the exported documents appear in the ‘Recently Added’ section.
