Should my chapter have an abstract/synopsis?
Last updated on January 17, 2019
An abstract is used to summarize the chapter when it’s presented online, it will come up in the search results to give the reader a taster of what to expect. It’s normally between 50 and 100 words long.
We require an abstract for all chapters. You will find details on what’s required in your chapter in the author instructions.
To find your author instructions in EMSS, go to your chapter page. On the far right of the grey bar at the top you'll see a link to Author Instructions. Click on this and it will take you through to them.
