How do I submit my biographical sketch and photo?
Last updated on January 17, 2019
We often request a short amount of text (up to 200 words) describing each author’s academic background, current interests and achievements to date (see example below), and a portrait photograph of each author. These are required for promoting the author and their interests to the reader. You can see an example of a biographical sketch further down this page.
You can find out if a biography and photo is required in your author instructions which are on EMSS. Go to your chapter page and at the top (underneath ELSEVIER) there is a grey bar. On the far right you will see a link to Author Instructions. Click on this and it will take you through to them.
Select the submission system you're using below for more information.
You can submit your biographical sketch at the end of your chapter document and the photo can be submitted using the figure tab (please label it as a photo). For further instructions please see EMSS online submission site.
If you are working in EPS on a Reference Module when submitting your article just include your biographical sketch at the end of the document and then submit your article as normal.
